The 14 Worst People of 2014

2. Luke Browning, a teenager in Mildred, Vermont, who promised his parents he’d check in while out with his friends but never did.

3. Melissa Perkins who brings all three of her toddlers out to dinner five nights out of the week.

4. Gary L. Araz who is evidently incapable of understanding how to put a toilet seat down.

5. Dana Greene of Garrettsburg, Virginia, who spends more time composing and publishing political messages on Facebook than she does applying to jobs.

6. Sarah Charters of Benford, Illinois, who was spotted doing 40 miles an hour in a 65 zone.

7. Mason Mitchell of the same town, spotted doing 90 in the same zone.

8. K. F. McCormick who refuses to use his first name like a normal person.

9. Marianne Park, a Los Angeles cleaning lady who only moves objects that she’s been explicitly instructed not to touch.

10. Dante Anderson of Redenboro, New Jersey, for bringing up his tattoos an average of 16.8 times per conversation.

11. Mark Baker, a 14-year-old YouTube commenter.

10 Travel Tips for the Holiday

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the busiest travel day of the year.  Before you head across the country to spend time with the relatives you never see, take a look at these travel tips to help you get to your destination quickly and safely.

Leave about an hour before you think you have to.  This way you’ll only be three hours late.

Surgically enlarge your bladder before departing.

Rest stops will constantly be packed so make sure you bring enough food for the trip, or enough munitions to loot fellow commuters mid transit.

Plan on having your Thanksgiving via Skype if traffic gets too bad.

If you’re flying, purchase three or four backup tickets on other flights for when something goes wrong with the first one.

Make sure to bring fully charged electronic entertainment with you so that if you’re travelling with family you can completely ignore each other easily.

Before leaving, passive-aggressively bring up how weird it is that your family never hosts Thanksgiving at your house.

Try taking out a bank loan to pay for gas.

Keep in mind that complaining about poor drivers will turn them into better drivers.

If you’re planning on going through Buffalo, don’t.

The 13 Weirdest Things About Our Solar System

One star and nine planets may seem like the typical cluster of objects that make up a solar system, but nothing in the cosmos is without its strangeness. Here is a list of some of the more recognizable objects in the night sky with some of the facts that make them unique.

Sun – A massive ball of ionized gas that took our planet’s place as the center of our solar system in 1543.

Mercury – The closest planet to the Sun. As its name suggests, Mercury is primarily made up of poisonous, liquid metal.

Venus – By far the hottest planet in our solar system, Venus gets hit on more frequently than any other celestial body.

Earth – The only planet that still has religions.

Moon – The Earth’s natural satellite. To this day scientists have no idea how it got there, though the most widely accepted theory is werewolves.

Mars – Mars is a shy planet, often embarrassed by its red bumpy surface. It’s tried everything from Proactive to alcohol wipes but nothing seems to do the trick.

Asteroid Belt – Located between Mars and Jupiter, the odds of successful navigating it are 3,720 to 1.

Jupiter – The largest planet in our solar system. It has a “Great Red Spot” where some wine spilled about 600 million years ago.

Galilean Moons – Four planet-sized moons that orbit Jupiter, each possessing unique geological properties. Their names are Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo.

Saturn – Also known as the “Mob Wife” planet for its extravagant and unnecessary rings, Saturn makes one revolution around the Sun every Saturday.

Uranus – Uranus has 27 moons.

Neptune – Either the seventh or eighth planet, Neptune spends as much time in space as it does in the ocean.

Pluto – Planet when it needs to be, player when it wants to be.

9 Facts About the Human Body

The human body is an amazing machine with millions of components and actions that keep us all alive. But how exactly does it function? What are the little quirks and strange happenings that keep the body ticking? Here is a list of a few bizarre things about humans that may surprise you.

Contrary to popular belief, human beings actually don’t need oxygen to survive. Most just breathe because it’s cool.

There are 6 bones in the human body. They are the head bone, the arm bones, the leg bones and the hipbone.

Human beings are naturally buoyant because their skin is made out of the same light material as sand. This is why you will dissolve if you stay in a pool for too long.

If you took all the nerves in the human body and stretched them out from end to end, you would be a psychopath.

The average human being generates enough energy to power one 60-watt light bulb, whereas Jack Black generates enough energy to power the city of Chicago.

Zits, warts and other blemishes are physical manifestations of sin.

You can often determine the size of a man’s sexual organ by asking what kind of car he drives.

Human beings can develop immunities to diseases they’ve already contracted, so it’s wise to contract as many diseases as possible.

There’s no actual healthy number of calories one can intake daily. The amount of calories you should eat depends on the size of your body and your amount of self-esteem.

12 Lesser-Known Halloween Traditions

For many, Halloween means dressing up as their favorite fictional characters, watching scary movies and handing out candy to sweet-toothed youngsters. But the holiday has been around for a while and has moved between nations, so many of the classic Halloween traditions have lost their voice… and some have just started getting popular. Here is a list of some lesser-known Halloween traditions.

Often, ordinary women will dress down to appear their sluttiest, while nuns will dress down to appear as ordinary women.

Hitting anyone who uses the term “Spooktacular.”

Handing out eggs and toilet paper so youngsters can trick the houses with subpar candy.

Slathering lamb’s blood on your doorframe to ward off Death.

Children enjoy bobbing for apples, while adults enjoy bobbing for contraceptives.

On Halloween night, if you stand in front of a mirror with the lights off and say “Zachary Quinto” three times, the actor will appear behind you and steal your eyebrows.

Promoting diabetes.

Starting drunken brawls with any person also wearing your costume.

Recently, haunted hayrides are being overshadowed by the increasingly popular haunted Zipcar scene.

Giving trick-or-treaters a fright by handing out copies of Gary Busey films.

Completing the harvest.

Some like to hollow out pumpkins, but the truly spirited will make their jack-o-lanterns out of human heads.
